For over 7 years and prior to returning to academia, Noora worked as a digital marketing specialist for two Scandinavian media companies and was a project manager for several media website re-designs. During those years she grew a passion for media. More importantly, she got to experience the challenges that the industry was in, giving her no other choice than to do a PhD and to study the industry in the pursuit of a solution to declining revenue. Since 2017, Noora has worked as an expert at Finnmedia and executive director at the Media Industry Research Foundation of Finland.
